The William H. Pouch Camp is located in the heart of Staten Island's Green Belt. It consists of 143 acres of pristine woods, miles of hiking trails and a gorgeous seventeen-acre lake.
Your child will experience an educational fun filled summer at Pouch Day Camp. Program features include sports (soccer, kickball, softball, field games), swimming, boating, nature/ecology program, Scout skills (outdoor cooking, knots, camping skills), fishing, archery, climbing on our 24' climbing wall, crafts, hiking and many special programs such as camp wide games, scavenger hunts, BBQs, mini Olymics, skits and songs.
Pouch Day Camp is for boys and girls going into grades 2 to 6. The camp is accredited by the Boy Scouts of America and inspected by the New York City Department of Health. Children are supervised by well trained counselors and accredited program staff.
The camp operates Monday to Friday 9 AM to 4 PM. Early drop-off (7 AM) and late pick-up (6 PM) is available (additional fees will apply).
Campers will receive two camp tee shirts as part of their registration. The camp will provide a daily snack and juice. Campers are expected to bring their own bag lunch. Refrigeration is provided for camper's lunch.
Achievements can be earned in all ranks of Cub Scouting (wolves, bears, and Webelos).
